This notice covers the website and shared contact handling. The apps have separate notices: Pairwell and Knobelpause.
2. Hosting and technical access data
The website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. As hosting provider, STRATO processes the data required to deliver and securely operate the website.
When you access the website, your browser transmits, in particular, the IP address, time and target of the request, technical browser and operating-system information, and, where applicable, the previously visited page (referrer). The server also processes the status code and amount of data transferred.
This processing enables the website to be displayed, errors to be resolved, and attacks to be prevented. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is a secure and functioning website.
According to STRATO's information, IP addresses are stored for a maximum of seven days to detect and prevent attacks. This is separate from the access logs provided in the hosting customer area: STRATO describes a six-week period for these logs and anonymisation of IP addresses or hostnames. See its information about hosting logs and statistics. I do not create personal usage profiles from these records.
4. Contact form and email
When you contact me, I process your email address, selected project, message and voluntarily supplied information to answer your enquiry. No game save or device report is attached automatically. Contact is voluntary; without a reachable address and sufficient information I may be unable to reply. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise Article 6(1)(f), with the legitimate interest of answering enquiries and supporting the apps, tools and websites presented here.
The form runs on STRATO and forwards the message by email to the Gmail mailbox at Rau.Onlinebusiness@gmail.com. The mail providers involved process the message; the website keeps no separate message database. The form has no attachments.
For spam protection, the form briefly processes the IP address and stores only a keyed derived value and attempt timestamps. Entries older than 24 hours are removed on the next sending attempt. The basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, with the legitimate interest of protecting the contact channel against abuse.
Correspondence is deleted when no longer needed for the enquiry and follow-up, unless statutory retention duties or legal claims require further storage for those purposes.
Google receives the data for its services; for EEA users the provider is generally Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Processing may also take place outside the EEA, including by Google LLC in the USA. Google describes adequacy decisions, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework within its scope, and standard contractual clauses where required in its Google transfer safeguards. That page also explains how to obtain copies of the clauses. See Google's Privacy Policy for Google’s own purposes, retention and account controls.
5. Your rights
Where the legal conditions are met, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent for the future without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact Rau.Onlinebusiness@gmail.com. You may complain to a data protection authority, including the Baden-Württemberg authority.
6. Updates
This notice is updated when website processing changes.
